Lawyer, writer and broadcaster, Chris Daw QC talks to Olly Jarvis about his petition to change a law that sends vulnerable people to prison for non-payment of the Community Charge. Hear his views on social mobility, legalising drugs and his upcoming TV programme.

Chris Daw is one of the Britain’s leading barristers.

He has acted in some of the most serious and high profile criminal cases including murders, international frauds and the Hillsborough Inquiry.

He is an outspoken advocate for social mobility, having explored the subject in an acclaimed piece for BBC’s The One Show and is presenting a forthcoming TV documentary series that puts criminal justice policies on trial

His first book, a factual commentary on crime and punishment is out next year, published by Bloomsbury.
